Naomi Carmack has been a vocalist and songwriter since the age of 12, when she penned her first single, "Be My Baby". This track not only showcased her talent but also caught the attention of Edmonton radio station Power 92 when she entered it in their "Powermix" competition, produced by Canadian dance music authority, Chris Sheppard (BKS, Love Inc.). "Be My Baby" earned a nomination for "Best Dance/Rap/Rhythm Artist" at the 1994 Alberta Recording Industry Awards and is also featured as the theme song for the popular Dope Nostalgia Podcast.
Over the years, Naomi has honed her skills by attending music and recording school while fronting Edmonton hard rock band "Six String Loaded". Her passion for podcasting ignited in 2018 when she co-hosted a podcast with musician friends called "Learning To Listen". This experience laid the groundwork for what would eventually become the Dope Nostalgia Podcast, where she shares her love for 90's music.
Now, after 6+ years, 275 episodes, thousands of subscribers, and millions of YouTube plays, the Dope Nostalgia Podcast is steadily growing, attracting fans with its engaging and nostalgic 90's related content.
